Breastfeeding has been one of the best experiences of my life,” usmagazine.com quoted her as saying.
“I love it! I can’t stop!” Laughing, she added: “I think I’m going to breastfeed him until he goes to college. I’m hooked!”

The 36-year-old had earlier confirmed that she won’t return as judge to singing reality show “The Voice” as she wants to focus on her child.

NDDC Projects in The Eyes of Lawmakers

Chairman! Are you not forgetting something? Senator Nurudeen Abatemi-Usman, the Vice Chairman of the Senate Committee on the Niger Delta asked Senator James Manager, the arrowhead of the committee. Of course, the chairman did not forget what had become a sing-song for him after inspecting projects that deserved plaudits. So, he intoned: ‘To God be the glory!”

Nigeria National Assembly Complex

That generally sums up the impressions of the senators after their one-week inspection tour of projects being executed by the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC in Abia, Cross River and Akwa Ibom states. The senators saw all there was to see. In some cases, they were satisfied. In others, they were disappointed. At the end of the day, Senator Manager still held on to his mantra: To God be the glory!

Heat scorch Pacers to get within one win of NBA Finals

The Miami Heat took a 3-2 lead in their best-of-seven NBA Eastern Conference final on Thursday night, defeating the Indiana Pacers.

The Miami Heat, riding largely on the shoulders of LeBron James’ clutch second-half shooting, are now one game away from their third NBA Finals appearance, defeating the Indiana Pacers, 90-79, Thursday night at AmericanAirlines Arena.

James led all scorers with 30 points, to go along with 8 rebounds and 6 assists (including 3-of-7 shooting from behind the three-point arc). But Miami got an additional, if unlikely boost from the inspired play of former Florida Gators star Udonis Haslem, who had 16 points – all of them in the second half – with a string of key field goals in the opening minutes of the third quarter. And some of those buckets, it appeared, were largely uncontested – due to James’ being constantly double-teamed. Indiana had led 44-40 at the break, but Haslem’s 8-for-8 field-goal surge, together with James’ scoring (they combined for 26 points in the third quarter alone) effectively K.O.’d the Pacers, who were outscored in the penultimate quarter, 30-13.

‘German curse’ no more: 13-year-old New York boy aces ‘knaidel’ to win National Spelling Bee

OXON HILL, Md. – As red and yellow confetti floated into his hair, the champ just stood there and cracked his knuckles, hardly the type of celebration expected from a 13-year-old. His smiles had come earlier, when he conquered “the German curse” on his way to spelling’s top prize.
New York City has its first Scripps National Spelling Bee winner in 16 years. Arvind Mahankali has never had a “knaidel,” but he was able to spell the German-derived Yiddish word for a matzo ball Thursday night to earn the huge trophy and more than $30,000 in cash and prizes.

“The German curse,” Arvind said, “has turned into a German blessing.”
Arvind finished third the two previous years, eliminated both times on German words. He had everyone laughing two years ago when he pronounced “Jugendstil” as “You could steal” and saluted the crowd when he got it wrong. Last year he flubbed “schwannoma” and quickly proclaimed: “I know what I have to study.”

After Earth

Will Smith tries to coach his son into becoming an action hero.

In the future—at least the one imagined in After Earth, the M. Night Shyamalan sci-fi adventure conceived by Will Smith, who also stars opposite his 14-year-old son, Jaden—our planet will be evacuated after environmental degradation has rendered it unfit to support human life. Those humans who survive will settle on a distant, arid planet called Nova Prime, where all architecture is modeled after the Eero Saarinen terminal at Kennedy Airport, where all garments and surfaces are dominated by a curious honeycomb pattern, and where we eat our meals with implements that resemble three Lucite chopsticks joined at one end.

That’s about as much detail as Shyamalan and his co-screenwriter, Gary Whitta, care to provide about the culture of the colonized planet on which their tale begins.

City residents rocked Thursday at a benefit concert for victims of the deadly Boston Marathon bombing, jamming to songs from the Dropkick Murphys, Boston and other musical acts and even laughing at a joke about the capture of a bombing suspect.

The Boston Strong Concert kicked off with the rock band Boston playing songs including its 1970s hit More Than a Feeling.
"Tonight, we are all Boston," lead singer Tommy DeCarlo declared to a crowd of thousands of people, including victims and first responders, at the TD Garden.
The Dropkick Murphys, whose rousing rendition of I'm Shipping Up to Boston was a crowd favorite, were introduced by former New England Patriots player Joe Andruzzi, who was watching the April 15 marathon when the bombs went off and helped victims at the scene.

Prancercise: New eccentric fitness routine mimics dancing like a horse

Move over Richard Simmons.  Johanna Rohrback has arrived, and she has a unique workout routine that is taking the Internet by storm.
Known as Prancercise, Rohrback’s workout is described as “a springy, rhythmic way of moving forward, similar to a horse's gait and is ideally induced by elation.” Various YouTube videos showcase Rohrback “prancing” at different speeds – including the Prancercise walk, trot and gallop.
According to her instruction, all you need are a couple of ankle weights and some music to get started.  For the more intense Prancercise box, individuals can strap the ankle weights to their wrists and punch into the air while they prance.

Rohrback originally introduced her unconventional routine back in 1989, but the endeavor failed to take off.  Looking to revive Prancercise, Rohrback published a book about the routine in Dec. 2012 titled Prancercise: The Art of Physical and Spiritual Excellence, along with the series of YouTube videos currently circulating the web. The book is described as “a recipe for fitness, health, and self-fulfillment!”

S.African rand hits 10.0 mark against dollar

The South African rand Thursday extended its losses against the dollar to hit a 10.0 mark, as President Jacob Zuma cautioned against labour instability in the volatile mining sector.
It is the rand's lowest level since March 2009.

Analyst Peter Nomura of Nomura International said the slump was above the 9.50 rand forecast for the second quarter, driven by real money outflow.

The new low adds further to already existing pressure on the South African economy, which is struggling under a mix of slow growth and high prices.
